SURE-BOARD® is a steel sheet bonded to:
- Gypsum board composite (Series 200), or
- Exterior gypsum sheathing, or
- Cement board, or
- Wood sheets-MDF(Series 200W), etc.
Available in standard sheet sizes: 4’ x 8’, 4’ x 9’, 4’ x 10’, and 4’ x 12’. Special sizes also available with extended lead-times. Wellbilt's Sure-Board’s® manufacturing headquarters is housed in an 186,000 sq.ft. facility, located in Miami, FL. This facility has the capability of special order size material, without minimum requirements. Sure-Board® is a patented product widely used in the West Coast of the United States, where it was originally invented to withstand high shear loads. Recently, Sure-Board® has gained popularity throughout the east coast United States, due to the adoption of the International Building Code requiring shear walls. Some east coast applications:
