| A curtain wall is a wall that only supports its own load meaning that it has an increased resistance to infiltration from air and water, high wind forces (hurricanes, tornadoes), seismic forces (earthquakes), and its own dead load forces. Common applications for a curtain wall are airports, buildings that require more natural lighting, and typically larger buildings that may want to inquire a design to reduce the operating and maintenance costs to name a few.
